Complaint filed after event managers failed to pay Rs1.92 lakh to travel agent.

Cheating complaint has been registered against five event managers, including a girl, of the newly-released film Aashiqui 2 for reportedly cheating a tour operator of Rs1.92 lakh. According to Gaurang Dudhat, owner of ABC tour and travels, the five had come to promote the film in the city.

In a complaint to Anandnagar police, Dudhat claimed that the five people, including Parag Barot, Harsh Pandya and Swati Modasia, had come to his office on April 19 to book air tickets for the lead actors, director and producer of the film. They claimed to have acquired the promotion work of the movie in the city and asked Dudhat to book their tickets from Mumbai and back.

After booking eight tickets, when Dudhat asked for Rs1.92 lakh, the event managers allegedly gave him a post-dated blank cheque and asked Dudhat to deposit the cheque if he does not receive cash from them. When they did not pay cash on time, Dudhat deposited the cheque in the bank.

 “But, the bank authorities told him that the name of the account holder didn’t match with the signature. After learning about the cheating, Dudhat lodged a complaint with us,” said JB Rana, police inspector of Anandnagar.

The girl who appears on the posters of director Mohit Suri’s upcoming movie, Aashiqui 2 is his sister Smiley Suri and not the film’s protagonist, Shraddha Kapoor.

Smiley herself confirmed the news recently. “Yes, it’s me in the poster”, revealed Smiley. She further shared that while Mohit was still to finalize the female lead for Aashiqui 2 he wanted someone to pose for the movie’s poster and that is when he requested her for the same to which she instantly agreed. “When Mohit decided to make the film, he didn’t have a face for the film, so he requested me if I could pose for the poster. So the poster where the girl is wearing a dress, it’s me”, she added.

So one of the Aashiqui 2 poster in which a girl adorned in a short dress is leaning under the jacket to kiss the film’s hero Aditya Roy Kapoor is Smiley Suri however, the other poster where the lady is wearing a sari and leaning towards him in a similar manner is reportedly the film’s actress Shraddha Kapoor.

It has even been heard that Smiley is Mohit’s lucky charm and this is another reason why he requested her to pose for the movie’s poster. Apparently, Smiley had been the leading lady in Mohit’s directorial venture Kalyug that went on to become a hit. Next, she assisted him for the movie, Zeher which again faired well at the box office and now that he is up with a big project, Aashiqui 2, he wanted Smiley to be a part of it in some way or the other and thus decided to shoot her for its poster.

Luckily for Mohit, Smiley and Shraddha share similar petite figures and it is almost impossible to make out that the girl on the movie’s poster is someone other than the film’s actress.
