Meghna Malik gets eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6

For those who saw her in the stiff and strict character of Ammaji in 'Na Aaana Is Des Laado', it would have been hard to imagine that Meghna Malik can dance - and how!
Despite her entertaining and confident performances, the powerhouse actress's stint on dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6' came to an end Saturday.

Meghna Malik was the third celebrity contestant to get eliminated from the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, after actor-comedian Suresh Menon and former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth.

She, along with her choreographer Savio Barnes, was in the bottom three contestants of this week's elimination episode.

The others who could have been out of the show were Karanvir Bohra and Shweta Tiwari.

Karanvir and Meghna performed in the face-off round to secure their spot in the celebrity dance reality show.

Saturday's episode was a 'Family Special' and it saw the contestants stage some wonderful performances dedicated to their family members.

The remaining Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 contestants now include

Drashti Dhami, Shweta Tiwari, Karanvir Bohra, Siddharth Shukla, Ekta Kaul, Aarti Chabaria along with singer Shaan, actress-dancer Lauren Gottlieb and 'India's Got Talent' winners Sonali and Sumant.

The dhak-dhak girl of Bollywood has bowled over many with her latkas and jhatkas, but this time it will be her voice that will do the trick. In the ‘Family special week’ episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, the dancing diva Madhuri Dixit will be seen crooning a romantic number, Tumse milke aisa laga, to woo hubby dearest Shriram Nene. Well, she is not the only one who is romantic. Mr Nene too goes down on his knees and proposes his wifey…once again. How adorable, no?

And this will leave co-judge Karan Johar totally, pleasantly surprised.

While we can’t wait to watch the dhamakedar episode, you take a sneak peek at the husband and wife’s sweet chemistry!

Former Indian skipper Krishnamachari Srikkanth was eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 on Saturday. Known to be a free flowing and attacking batsman, he came with the motto to dance naturally. He entertained but had to leave just after a week.

Contestant to get eliminated from JDJ after actor-comedian Suresh Menon, entered the show June 8 as a surprise entry. Along with his choreographer Amrita Moitra, he was in the bottom three with actors Shweta Tiwari and Karanvir Bohra.

The episode, called Dance fusion week had the contestants perform on two or more dance forms.

Srikanth's first performance was during Jhalak on wheels where he performed on Chammak Challo using a refreshment trolley and the second week saw him doing a face off against Shweta Tiwari post wich he got evicted.

The oldest contestant on the Jhalak manch but the youngest at heart, the 53 year old cricketer had inspired everyone on the sets with his never die spirit. He was always known to be one of the most aggressive batsmen and a quicksilver fielder but little did people know that he would be such an entertainer. He impressed Madhuri Dixit by singing the Tamil version of the famous song – Ek Do Teen for her in his debut episode, taught Remo D’souza some cricketing moves and even cheered up all the contestants in the last episode of Jhalak.

Now Drashti Dhami, Shweta Tiwari, Karanvir Bohra, Siddharth Shukla, Meghna Malik, Ekta Kaul, Lauren Gottlieb, Shaan, Aarti Chabaria Sonali and Sumant are vying for the top honour.

Wishing everyone great success ahead, he bid adieu to his fellow contestants and said, “ It was one of the best experiences of my life and in-spite of being a non-dancer I enjoyed dancing on Jhalak stage thoroughly. Even my family was very happy to see me dance especially both my daughter-in laws. I have always used my rhythm and technique on the cricket field, for the first time I used it in dancing. My choreographer Amrita trained and supported me with a lot of patience and it was an altogether different experience.”
