Kris Srikkanth eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6

Former Indian skipper Krishnamachari Srikkanth was eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 on Saturday. Known to be a free flowing and attacking batsman, he came with the motto to dance naturally. He entertained but had to leave just after a week.

Contestant to get eliminated from JDJ after actor-comedian Suresh Menon, entered the show June 8 as a surprise entry. Along with his choreographer Amrita Moitra, he was in the bottom three with actors Shweta Tiwari and Karanvir Bohra.

The episode, called Dance fusion week had the contestants perform on two or more dance forms.

Srikanth's first performance was during Jhalak on wheels where he performed on Chammak Challo using a refreshment trolley and the second week saw him doing a face off against Shweta Tiwari post wich he got evicted.

The oldest contestant on the Jhalak manch but the youngest at heart, the 53 year old cricketer had inspired everyone on the sets with his never die spirit. He was always known to be one of the most aggressive batsmen and a quicksilver fielder but little did people know that he would be such an entertainer. He impressed Madhuri Dixit by singing the Tamil version of the famous song – Ek Do Teen for her in his debut episode, taught Remo D’souza some cricketing moves and even cheered up all the contestants in the last episode of Jhalak.

Now Drashti Dhami, Shweta Tiwari, Karanvir Bohra, Siddharth Shukla, Meghna Malik, Ekta Kaul, Lauren Gottlieb, Shaan, Aarti Chabaria Sonali and Sumant are vying for the top honour.

Wishing everyone great success ahead, he bid adieu to his fellow contestants and said, “ It was one of the best experiences of my life and in-spite of being a non-dancer I enjoyed dancing on Jhalak stage thoroughly. Even my family was very happy to see me dance especially both my daughter-in laws. I have always used my rhythm and technique on the cricket field, for the first time I used it in dancing. My choreographer Amrita trained and supported me with a lot of patience and it was an altogether different experience.”
